The Workshop on Operator Theory, Complex Analysis, and Applications 2018 - WOTCA 2018 will take place in Guimarães, Portugal, on 25-28 June 2018. It will be hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Applications of the University of Minho.

It aims to bring together researchers working in Operator Theory, Complex Analysis, and their applications, in particular Mathematical Physics, and to create an opportunity to highlight the current state of the art in these fields, present open problems and engage in fruitful discussions.

This meeting follows the line of six previous workshops, WOTCA 2010, WOTCA 2012, 2-Day OTCA 2013, WOTCA 2014, WOTCA 2016 and WOTCA 2017.

The programme will consist of several invited 25+5 minute talks and a very small number of contributed talks. A preliminary list of speakers is available here. To foster contact between leading mathematicians and younger ones, a gong and poster parallel meeting, YRFAMP'18-Young Researchers in Functional Analysis and Mathematical Physics, will be held alongside and in coordination with the workshop.

WOTCA 2018 has no registration fee and is open to everybody interested, but the number of participants will be restricted to a maximum of 50, in order to foster dialogue in a friendly atmosphere.
